If Twinmold burrows while flying, the stun counter will reset. In order to stun Twinmold, it has to be hit ten times or hit with three combos to knock him down while he is flying. While in giant form, Link can throw punches and roll in order to hit and stun Twinmold. Moldbabies can be defeated easily by bashing the ground by holding the B Button as a giant. The red Twinmold can shoot fireballs and summon Moldbabies, which leave Hearts and Magic Jars when defeated. Once defeated, a Treasure Chest containing the Giant's Mask appears in the center of the arena. This will make it fall to the ground and reveal its main eye. The blue Twinmold must be defeated by shooting Arrows at the eyes beneath it. In Majora's Mask 3D, Twinmold's spikes are colored blue and red. Twinmold's defeat lifts the curse on Ikana, causing the undead monsters brought to life by the curse to disappear. Once both parts of Twinmold are defeated, Link will receive a Heart Container and Twinmold's Remains, freeing the final Giant who was trapped in Twinmold's body. Once Link has dealt sufficient damage to one half of Twinmold, its body will explode, with its head crashing into the sand. Twinmold may fly past this boundary in an effort to lure Link into the trap. This causes him to be returned to the dungeon's entrance. If Link strays too far from the initial platform during the battle, even if he is wearing the Giant's Mask, he will sink into the sand. Ice Arrows are effective against Twinmold's red tail, as are Fire Arrows against its blue tail. It is possible to defeat Twinmold without the Giant's Mask by shooting Arrows at Twinmold's weak points. As the mask drains Link's Magic Meter, Link can replenish it by destroying the pillars found throughout the area, which contain Magic Jars. However, Link will not be able to use Z-Targeting while using the Giant's Mask. The most effective method for defeating Twinmold is to use the Sword while wearing the Giant's Mask, which allows Link to grow to the size of Twinmold. To defeat Twinmold, Link must attack its vulnerable heads and tails. Twinmold's boss room is located above the room where the Garo Master is fought. As you are now, maybe you can muster up the energy to destroy them all! Then lure the two skeletons near the light and knock each one to the ground.Using the Giant's Mask ( Majora's Mask 3D) Drop down and use the light on the Sun panel to gain access to the boss chambers.Īt the start of the fight, use Fire Arrows to burn away both of the drapes that are blocking the sunlight from entering the room. Put on your Goron Mask and place the Powder Keg to make a new skylight. Go to the center area and stand on the cracked part. When he is down, put your Gibdo Mask on and run through the next room and back onto the roof. Run through the door to fight another teleporting wizard (like the one in Snowhead), and defeat him just as you did before. This time, go through the right door and use your shield to reflect light onto the Sun panel. Put your Gibdo Mask back on and return inside through the front entrance. Use that to reach the switch on the pillar, which will open up a skylight on the east side of the building. Climb up on the ledge and inch your way until you get to the center area where you can jump down to a flower launcher. Run through the next room and onto the roof. Use your arrows to kill the two spiders ahead of you, then use the Lens of Truth to see a platform that you can use to jump from platform to platform to reach the door. In the next room use Deku Link to hover over to the switch to the left and then depress it as Link. Then you can jump over to the newly unlocked door. Turn back into Normal Link and step on the switch. Then dive in again and hover over to the switch on top of the pillar. Dive into it and as the ceiling is collapsing, jump out to make it rise up again. Hit the switch in the corner, then run to the flower that is the closest to the pillar. Then go through the left door and turn into Deku Link. With your Gibdo Mask on, go through the main entrance and shoot the two switches on the pillars with fire arrows. Hit the switch inside that will cause light to appear, then use your new shield to reflect it back to the sun panel to clear a path back into the courtyard. To get back into the Castle once you get back, run over to the castle, and go through a small crack in the rocks. You need a Powder Keg, so teleport back to Clock Town to buy one as Goron Link, and then return to Ikana Canyon. As soon as you exit the well, you will be in Ikana Castle, but you are not yet fully prepared to complete this part of the game.
